Human Conditions

İstanbul Museum of Modern Art opened a new photography exhibition titled "Human Conditions" that features photographs by Sıtkı Kösemen, and Ergün Turan and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek at the Photography Gallery. 

The exhibition is curated by Engin Özendes. On one of the gallery walls, photographs taken by Ergün Turan and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek of people passing by the street in their most natural moods are displayed; on the other wall, photographs by Sıtkı Kösemen of people "playing the death" take place. Overall 52 photographs are exhibited. The "Human Conditions" exhibition will be open until 25 January 2009. 
 
The exhibition brings together Sıtkı Kösemen’s people performing a kind of protest by "playing death" and Ergün Turan’s and Süreyya Yılmaz Dernek’s different passer-bys, in 52 photographs. "Human Conditions" expects new stories to be created by the audience on the numbered photographs in the exhibition notebook.
